Backwoods Blue Cigars - Pack of 5
by Stuart
The Backwoods Blue Cigars are a really nice smoke at a reasonable price. They last about 20 minutes and have that familiar Backwoods flavour, just with a subtle hint of vanilla that makes them a bit smoother and sweeter. The draw is easy, and the flavour’s mild enough to enjoy without feeling heavy.
They’re not something I’d reach for every day, but they make a great once a week treat, something a bit different to mix in with your regular smokes. Overall, a tasty, easy going cigar that hits that middle ground between casual and special.

The Backwoods Authentic (Light Brown) Cigars - Pack of 5 are a cracking little pack to keep on hand. Each cigar lasts me around 20 - 25 minutes, and they’ve got that trademark sweet, aromatic flavour that makes them stand out. They’re not something I’d smoke every day, but as an occasional treat they really hit the spot.
For the price, they’re excellent value, and I always make sure I’ve got a pack in. They’re especially good for social nights, mates round for shooting some pool or gaming, and even the non smokers end up enjoying one. They’ve got that easy going, sweet taste that makes them approachable for just about anyone. A casual, fun cigar that’s well worth keeping stocked.

This was a game of three thirds! The first third was smooth and full of flavour, but by the time it moved into the second, it became almost too tight to smoke. This really ate into my enjoyment of the cigar, as I has to try so hard to get a draw and keep it burning by puffing like a steam-engine, which heated the thing up and affected the taste. The blockage then burnt through and normal smoking was resumed, but the flavour had been marred by this point. I'd been looking forward to it as well. There's another one in my humidor, so time will tell if this was a one-off problem.

The Backwoods Authentic cigar is a unique little smoke that really lives up to its name. It’s sweet, aromatic, and gives off a lovely scent that makes it stand out from more traditional cigars. Each one lasts me about 10–15 minutes, so it’s not too long but long enough to relax and enjoy the flavour.
For me, these are better as an occasional treat rather than an everyday choice. The sweetness is very pleasant, but it can be a bit much if you had them too often. Still, when you’re in the mood for something different, maybe a casual get-together or a special moment, they really hit the spot. A very enjoyable, slightly rustic smoke that feels more special than its price suggests.

I had a second humidor with a poor humidification system so purchased the Boveda 6 pack of 72%. They work brilliantly and have kept the humidity at an ideal level for a long time. Each sachet is sealed in its own bag so stays as new until you need to use it. Would definitely recommend.
