The Backwoods Authentic (Light Brown) Cigars - Pack of 5 are a cracking little pack to keep on hand. Each cigar lasts me around 20 - 25 minutes, and they’ve got that trademark sweet, aromatic flavour that makes them stand out. They’re not something I’d smoke every day, but as an occasional treat they really hit the spot.
For the price, they’re excellent value, and I always make sure I’ve got a pack in. They’re especially good for social nights, mates round for shooting some pool or gaming, and even the non smokers end up enjoying one. They’ve got that easy going, sweet taste that makes them approachable for just about anyone. A casual, fun cigar that’s well worth keeping stocked.

I had been wanting to try this for a while due to the great reviews it had been receiving in the cigar press, and now it is available in the UK. First impressions were of an attractive and well constructed cigar that cuts, lights and draws easily. It also had one of the most even burns that I have experienced for a while. However, although the tasting notes are generally correct (chocolate and espresso in the background) I didn't pick up much sweetness or fruit due to the overwhelming taste of pepper. I don't mind strong and spicy, but you can have too much of a good thing. For me this cigar lacks balance in the way it delivers its flavours. Perhaps some more age/time in the humidor would help, or a different vitola. I wouldn't out anyone off trying this if strong and peppery is your thing but, personally, I don't think that I am likely to try this again as it didn't quite live up to the hype.

Poor, very poor. Badly made, out of the 10 cigars I could only smoke 3 of them, terrible I personally would not buy these again.

An excellent 40 minutes smoke.You will find it hard to find a better smoke on the market at this price !

This was a game of three thirds! The first third was smooth and full of flavour, but by the time it moved into the second, it became almost too tight to smoke. This really ate into my enjoyment of the cigar, as I has to try so hard to get a draw and keep it burning by puffing like a steam-engine, which heated the thing up and affected the taste. The blockage then burnt through and normal smoking was resumed, but the flavour had been marred by this point. I'd been looking forward to it as well. There's another one in my humidor, so time will tell if this was a one-off problem.
