Jose L Piedra Petit Cetros Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 07 August, 2017
Earlier this year my review of this cigar was not favourable due to it being plugged. The replacement was so different I felt a new review was in order. This example was extremely well behaved and didn't go out once. I take back what I said about the lack of flavour - this one was a very nice smoke with plenty of Cuban must and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would now consider buying more of these in the future.

JANUARY SALE - Chinchalero Torpeditos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 05 August, 2017
Not sure why these have only (at the time of me buying the first one) got a 3 star rating. Guessing it is because there are not many reviews so the negative ones have more weight than they deserve. For a less than £4 cigar these are great, I would much rather smoke these as an everyday smoke than a £2/ £3 packet cigar. It had a good draw and lasted around 65 mins. Happily giving it a 5 star (for what it is) I have already received the extras I ordered so I look forward to smoking those soon.

Simply delightful for the money, excellent smoke and no complaints! If you want an inexpensive short Cuban fix, look no further, may not be overly complex in flavour but has a lovely draw and a smoothness to the end!

I agree with everything all the other reviews have said about this cigar for the price it is an absolute steal. I got it in the budget small cuban sampler which also includes some big names but this stood out and I will be buying more of these to fill up the humidor.

Juliany Maduro Corona Cigar - 1 Single

What a fantastic cigar - especially for such a low price tag! Upon cutting it and testing the airflow I thought it may be heavy on the draw but that has not been the case when lit. Thick satisfying smoke and a rich strong flavour. It's quite reminiscent of the La Flor Dominicana in flavour and a very steady burn. So far I am 40 minutes in with a cup of tea and it's been a real pleasure. Great service as well - I will return to this one again.

JANUARY SALE - Davidoff Yamasa Petit Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 21 June, 2017
Davidoff needed 20 years to create the lovely wrappers and binders from the Yamasa region to achieve the dream of Master blender Henke. Everyone told Henke and Davidoff that is impossible to cultivate tobacco in this area but they did.

Yamasa region is a lovely area to cultivate tobacco. Swampy, humid and drenched with regular, heavy rainfall, the soil in the region has a low pH count, but is rich in minerals. These minerals, or micro-nutrients, include boron, iron and zinc, and play an essential role in contributing to the quality of the tobacco leaf. The climate is very similar to the Cuban climate, and therefore hugely beneficial to the growing of tobacco, the Dominican Republic is primarily tropical. There are, of course, local variations in temperature and rainfall but in general, highs of 104°F are common in protected valleys, as are lows of zero in mountainous areas.

This is not the first time that Davidoff used Yamasa Wrapper and binder. They created the Puro D’ Oro range which won awards in 2012. Composed of 100% Dominican tobacco which was the Dream of
