GUANTANAMERA

Guantanamera cigars are a relatively new cigar having been created and released in 2002, this cigar is now one of our most popular budget priced Cuban cigars.

The brand was named after perhaps Cubas' most well known song "Guajira Guantanamera" (Spanish for peasant girl from Guantánamo") by Joseito Fernández which can be heard in just about every bar in Cuba every evening.

The Guantanamera range comprises light strength machine-made cigars using short filler tobacco from the lesser Vuelta Arriba region.

Guantanamera cigars have pre-cut heads, a cigar cutter is not required.

Tasting Notes

Machine made, 100% Cuban tobacco from Vuelta Arriba region. The ultimate Cuban cigar for a beginner or for any cigar smoker who likes a very mild and light bodied cigar.

I wasn't expecting a lot from this particular cigar but was reasonably happy with the overall result, the first quarter was lacking in taste and aroma but once that was out of the way the taste increased and the aroma arrived, a pleasant smoke followed. Yes it might be cheap, machine made and not of the highest standards but for the price you can not go wrong, a Cuban cigar for under £4. Wrapper was slightly loose, providing an easy smoke, possibly not everyone taste but one will have again. written by Jon

It is my opinion that these cigars are excellent value for money; a mere £3.80 for a cuban (albeit machine-rolled). However, my expectations certainly were not that great upon first impression. The aroma it produced was clearly inferior to your usual cuban 'gar, and as I lit it, the first few puffs were slightly disappointing, as the flavour did not seem to be released immediately. Despite this, I began to really enjoy the rich, full flavour of the 'gar after approximately an inch was smoked. Not the true aficianados choice of course, but the automatic choice of the average financially-challenged gentleman smoker. I did enjoy it and I would certainly try one again, even if I wasn't particularly low on funds. written by Henry

I think these cigars are the best value for money on the market today. Okay, they may be machine made and lack some of the complex tastes of the more expensive brands but for the price they are excellent. I use these now as my 'everyday' cigar. A nice cigar for someone who is new to cigar smoking or simply prefers a mild smoke that doesn't break the bankbook! From my experience I would definitely recommend these. written by Tom
