GUANTANAMERA

Guantanamera cigars are a relatively new cigar having been created and released in 2002, this cigar is now one of our most popular budget priced Cuban cigars.

The brand was named after perhaps Cubas' most well known song "Guajira Guantanamera" (Spanish for peasant girl from Guantánamo") by Joseito Fernández which can be heard in just about every bar in Cuba every evening.

The Guantanamera range comprises light strength machine-made cigars using short filler tobacco from the lesser Vuelta Arriba region.

Guantanamera cigars have pre-cut heads, a cigar cutter is not required.

Tasting Notes

Machine made, 100% Cuban tobacco from Vuelta Arriba region. The ultimate Cuban cigar for a beginner or for any cigar smoker who likes a very mild and light bodied cigar.

These are an excellent cigar for the beginner or some one that prefers a mild to medium smoke they are well made and my first one lasted an hour and twenty minutes Sat outside the Central Bar in Newquay time compatible with a RyJ Churchill and at a quarter of the price They make you feel very relaxed slow burning, solid ash (a sign of a good build) A cigar you can smoke on a regular basis without breaking the bank, save the beautiful Romeo y Juliete Churchill for that special occasion, Try one for around £5 you carnt go wrong and it's still all Cuban.

I didn't enjoy these! I only had room in the humi for four, and so smoke the fifth one first. It was just harsh. There was no subtle interplay of flavours, just a smokey burning charcoal type flavour. I did think I may just have had a bad one, so smoked the others some time later and although better, they still left a lot to be desired. They have a great price point, but once you try them, you very soon understand why the price is so low. Not for me.

Had a couple of these whilst on holiday in Cuba and decided to bring a few back as presents for non-cigar smokers as they cost around £2 each there. The tobacco is not the best but it is at least 100% Cuban, machine rolled so quite loose and inconsistent but relatively even burning if a little quick and stored in unsealed cheap plastic tubes and often not in humidores so often a little dried out. It's a good cheap souvenir cigar for the tourists who otherwise wouldn't bother. If a fiver is your budget then you are better off with a smaller but better quality cigar.

Nice cheap Cuban cigars , tasty, not too strong, ideal for afternoon in the garden with a glass of single malt whiskey.

Wasn't expecting too much from this smoke, which is fortunate because it didn't really give too much. Very loose, burning quite hot and tarry, especially in the second part, and required a lot of liquid refreshment to kill the lingering taste after every draw. Pulled easily enough, maybe a little too easily, but it's biggest downfall was the lack of anything decent on the flavour front. Probably a great smoke for a drunkard, but not for day to day appreciation. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid!
