I have to say that I have only smoked cigarillos previously and branded over the counter cigars. Now in my 54th year on earth, I decided to try a real cigar and opted for this after advice via email from Cgars. I ordered 4, which arrived on said birthday and, firstly, I was very impressed by the packing of the cigars. So, I managed to cut the cigar fairly well but didnt light it particularly well, having a slight lopsided burn but it wasnt bad for a first attempt. This was a very satisfying smoke. Mild, slightly nutty and, best of all, the smell reminded me of my dad! It was a long smoke, I managed to get just over 70 minutes and 2 glasses of whiskey! Im going to give this cigar 4 stars as I am sure Ill discover better but Im adding the 5th for the customer service.

Bought as part of a bundle to try other sizes in the range but I found it too big in the ring gauge. 60mins smoking with a tight draw but it didn’t burn evenly although this could be because of my inexperience in lighting such fat cigars; it did have excellent ash retention. Same pleasant flavours as other Mitchelleros but for me it was too much

Plus for me. It looks good and the ash will stay true to the end. A 25 min smoke. Very mild. Negs for me. The taste is very crisp initially tho it changes quickly to the taste of a Henry Wintermans half corona cigar so not the greatest. Does need care while cutting. Smoke smells like damp cloth.

In my top 3 sticks. Great flavour and smokes really good. Only issue I had was cracked wrapper (which was my fault). Each third has different flavours. Ending on a minty chocolate flavour. This stick symbolises why IÂ’m a fan of new world. Highly recommend to anyone.

I always like to handle and smell my cigars before I smoke them. This cigar looked beautifully made with a lovely dark wrapper with no visible imperfections. It felt great in my hand. As for the smell, it didn’t have a particularly exciting smell which was a mild shame. I love those strong farmyard smells that you often get, but this isnt vital. The cap didnt look overly large, but it cut well and formed a perfect end and I got no bits of tobacco in my mouth at all. The cigar lit well and it burned reasonably evenly throughout. The best thing was that the ash remained in one strong piece throughout and never fell off at all. For me that was a thing of beauty. As to the flavours, overall it was a mild creamy cigar but it had enough hints of pepper to keep it interesting. The after flavour was quite creamy and I would liken it to a subtle mild hint of Devon clotted cream fudge. I always smoke my cigars down to the nub and flavours became more interesting the further down I smoked with the peppery hints coming through more. The band is very low budget, not exciting at all, I wouldn’t want to keep it from my collection. But the good thing was that once I smoked down for a while, the band came off incredibly easily without damaging the wrapper. If I were to use a whiskey analogy, I would say that this was like sipping a lovely Irish whiskey, a Redbreast or maybe a Yellow Spot. As to value, for £7.49 you get a beautifully handmade cigar with long filler that lasts about 40 mins. I cant imagine there are many better value cigars out there. Although I usually like slightly more robust flavours, this made a lovely change. Well done C.gars for stocking it.
