QUORUM

Quorum cigars are all handmade in one of the top cigar making countries, Nicaragua. You will find three different lines from Quorum, whilst they all use the exact same Nicaraguan blend they are each carefully wrapped in different wrappers, showing the massive impact a wrapper can have on a good cigar.

QUORUM CLASSIC

The Classic line uses a Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper leaf to finish off the blend. Ecuador is one of the most desirable places to grow tobacco because of its climate and volcano-nourished soil which creates delicious, top quality leaves. The ash the volcanoes produce falls on the soil and provides nutrients in quantities that simply are not available naturally in most countries and therefore creates a beautifully unique smoking experience.

The Classic's wrapper grows with no covering at all, with direct sun to the tobacco leaves. All this direct sunlight causes the plants to produce a darker and much thicker leaf that tends to compliment richer and spicier flavours.

Tasting Notes

Featuring a sweet and cedary flavour, this smooth cigar produces thick, white smoke usually reserved for cigars twice its price.

Overall I would say this was an acceptable cigar, especially given the price. It started out with a little spice and even the odd bit of sweetness. Unfortunately, as I reached the midway point, rather than develop the taste began to degrade. It wasn't unpleasant but it didn't offer much beyond this point. A slight bit of pepper towards the end. A long and pleasant smoke for the money.

I've always favoured the larger Cigar, and decided to try this, after reading about it on here. What an inspired choice: a quality Cigar, but at an extremely competitive Price. The Cigar lit easily, and maintained an even Burn throughout. The Draw was pleasant, with a Peppery and woody flavour throughout, and thick chewy Smoke. The Ash fell off in 2 sizeable Chunks: in my case, the beginning of the final 3rd, and at the Label. A Cigar that Ididn't want to end! Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be buying more.

Smoked via a punch cut Easy draw, and lots of smoke Canoed almost immediately, and required two touch-ups, burnt quite quickly. Lasted about 45 minutes No spice on the lips, slight pepperiness in the mouth. Would say this was a light to medium cigar. Excellent value really, okay for a mid morning smoke.

Really enjoyed it. Very nice flavours. Nicer than the Maduro version which I wasn't too keen on. The ash wasn't perfect and it did burn slightly uneven at times but with a little touching up here and there it wasn't a problem. Went well with a drop of Southern Comfort. And it's a good price for a Churchill. Will buy again.

Really poor build for this, which surprised me as it?s JC Newman and I always find their cigars to be well constructed. Punch cut cracked the foot and left the wrapper unravelling. This only got worse as the smoke when on. Taste wise it was nice, the burn and the ash were perfect but ruined but the foot just disintegrating - shame really. Probably won?t buy this again.
