Jose L. Piedra is a particularly noteworthy Habano not only because its blend is composed of filler tobaccos grown exclusively in the Remedios tobacco region, but also because it is made using the totally hand made, short filler technique.

The Piedra family came to Cuba in the 1880's from the Spanish province of Asturias. They settled near the town of Santa Clara, which lies at the heart of the Remedios region where tobacco has been grown since the 16th century, and started to make cigars.

Tasting Notes

This medium-bodied cigar will provide an earthy taste with a great draw and creamy smoke. Hints of salt and tanginess will hit the lips giving an interesting flavour.

I smoked this with an open mind as some of the other cigars I've bought in this price range weren't really worth the bother. But it was thoroughly enjoyable, only losing taste at the bitter end. Excellent value, will certainly buy again.

Very good for the price. Nice consistent burn and draw. NOthing complex, but you get what you pay for. Much better than their big brother the Cazadores

Bought one to try and compare with a dozen other cuban and dominican. This is a very good cigar for the price.Enjoyed so much immediately ordered 10 more.Good burn nice mild/medium taste, wrapper stayed in place, lasted 45mins. Not a Cohiba but I think it's hard to beat at this price.

Being a bit skint & having to shop in Poundland after wasting all my money on wine women & song, I thought I'd give this a try. I have to agree with the other reviews, for the money it's a very decent smoke! The construction was a bit bumpy, but it stayed intact as I smoked it, & what a flavoursome smoke it was, with a definite taste of chocolate throughout. So, instead of taping my Cohiba Clubs together, or if I win the lottery, this fine cigar will do the job perfectly!!
