It's been a while since I left my original review of this type and brand of cigar. Since my last post I have 'indulged' in more expensive brands such as Montecristo, Punch, and Romeo Y Julieta. So what's new? Well for a start, the RYJ made me physically throw up! Not a great smoke at all. As for the Punch and Monte, they were ok, but nothing special. I've had several more Piedra's (both Nacionales and Cazadores) and these kick the arse of the above 'premium' brands. They're cheap (too cheap perhaps for a Cuban?) and certainly a lot more than cheerful. In my humble opinion they deserve much more kudos than they currently get. A great smoke from start to finish, though they certainly do benefit from a few months in a humidor/humijar (but what cigar doesn't?). I'm going to order these again- and so will you once you've given them a go!! They're the Cuban worker's cigar of choice, and those guys can't be wrong. Roll on Jose L Piedra, your cigars rock- cheers!!
