Initial problems with the outer wrapper. Was split at the lighting end, and split at the mouth end when I made the cut. Managed to smoke it besides, and it ended up a great smoke despite the wrapper problems. Easy draw. Enjoyed it with an Admiral Rodney rum from St. Lucia. Not too strong, not too weak. Leathery and peppery and creamy smoke. Real Cuban flavour. Getting cocoa and chocolatey notes which worked with the Caribbean rum. Uneven burn that needed touching up with my Colibri lighter. Despite the wrapper issues it was a great smoke - would not stop me from trying the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill Cigar again. The draw was superlative throughout. I really struggle with a tight draw.

Picked up a box of 10 today from Turmeaus Chester. Couldn’t wait so took one out this evening. Recently I’ve been smoking H. Upmann Half Corona’s and a couple of Cohiba Siglo II’s. This cigar is just beautiful. The effortless draw is the first thing that pleases, I just love it when you don’t have to fight a cigar. The burn is perfectly even. The 1st third had light, chocolatey flavours with the coolest taste. The middle was more heavy with complexity and the end didn’t disappoint with all the classic flavours expected from Romeo’s. 10/10 - loved it and if the rest are just as nice I think I’ll be getting another box in a month or two. Also to note, the team in Chester were fantastic as always, a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Team.

Don’t know if I had a duff one but my last one was not good. I cut it as per usual fashion taking care with the cap not too short. The wrapper unraveling came as a surprise and it was only the band that kept it totally destroying itself. The taste was ruined and I gave up on it ….. expensive cigar to bin….

Great construction and burn. Lovely draw. Sweet wood and black pepper, then becomes more creamy with a floral perfume like finish. Towards the end becomes more floral. Not to my taste compared to other Cubans but a pleasant experience overall.

Well this little beautys what set me off smoking cigars. I had my first one while on holiday in Cuba a couple of weeks ago. On return home, I ordered this as part of a sampler pack, but unfortunately this one didnt smoke the same. I struggled to keep it lit and the draw was uneven. I understand these are hand made so hopefully this wont happen again. Ill still order more.
