OLIVA

The Oliva Cigar story began in the late 1800s, when Melanio Oliva started growing cigar tobacco in Cuba. His heirs carried on the family tradition in the fields, but it was his grandson Gilberto Oliva Sr. who began making cigars.

Nicaraguan tobacco helped Oliva survive. The cigar that brought it to the attention of connoisseurs debuted in 2006: Oliva Serie V. Made by a small group of rollers and blended for strength and style, the Serie V line was an immediate hit. In 2012, to pay tribute to the first man in the family to grow cigar tobacco, Oliva added the Melanio version, which is distinguished from the original by its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The No. 1 Cigar of the Year 2014, Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado has rich, big notes of leather framed by a range of coffee, caramel and woody intonations. It’s a classic smoke.

SERIE G

Serie G is a medium body blend made with authentic African-Cameroon wrapper. The unique flavour notes of this wrapper are complemented by the natural richness of Nicaraguan fillers.

Tasting Notes

The Serie G is a cigar with notes of cedar and coffee. It is an excellent balance of smoke and flavour.

Very woody, almost smells like oak burning. Slightly tight draw which is good, slows the experience down. Not too strong but distinct flavour. Good construction. All this despite I lit it from the wrong end.

My go too quick smokes and ones I often take on a night out. Not the best, but for the price you cant go wrong. Notes of coffee with pepper. Can be bit hot and dry if smoked straight from tin. I stick mine in my humidor for a few weeks/months and keep the tin and stick them back in if Im on a night out. It really improves them big time. Quality smokes for the price.

An unassuming little smoke that is pretty good value for money. Good to have if you fancy a cigar, but do not have the time to take advantage of (and enjoy) something a bit larger.

My favourite cigar for traveling, amazing value and easy to transport. Great medium strength Nicaraguan tobacco wrapped in a gorgeous Ecuadorian Cameron wrapper that delivers cinnamon and roast notes on the palate. David - C.Gars Ltd Cigar Ambassador
