OLIVA

The Oliva Cigar story began in the late 1800s, when Melanio Oliva started growing cigar tobacco in Cuba. His heirs carried on the family tradition in the fields, but it was his grandson Gilberto Oliva Sr. who began making cigars.

Nicaraguan tobacco helped Oliva survive. The cigar that brought it to the attention of connoisseurs debuted in 2006: Oliva Serie V. Made by a small group of rollers and blended for strength and style, the Serie V line was an immediate hit. In 2012, to pay tribute to the first man in the family to grow cigar tobacco, Oliva added the Melanio version, which is distinguished from the original by its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The No. 1 Cigar of the Year 2014, Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado has rich, big notes of leather framed by a range of coffee, caramel and woody intonations. It’s a classic smoke.

SERIE G

Serie G is a medium body blend made with authentic African-Cameroon wrapper. The unique flavour notes of this wrapper are complemented by the natural richness of Nicaraguan fillers.

Tasting Notes

The Serie G is a cigar with notes of cedar and coffee. It is an excellent balance of smoke and flavour.

My personal opinion and preferences; Pros: inexpensive Cons: I wasnt a fan at all, found it incredibly harsh so much so that I stopped smoking it mid 2nd third. Little bits of Ash falling off and small bits of tobacco constantly in my mouth. Overall just an unpleasant experience

Decent smoke for the price possibly a new daily Taste is really good and not to overpowered , so its a good daily or if you just a starter . I will say it dose gets a bit bitter/sharp/changy towards the 2/3 mark but its not unbearable ! i kept smoking till the finger/lip burn 1 of my factors in assessing a cigar is to always judge the ash head ; this 1 dose produce a nice white/grey compact head with the ash rings visibly clear ! its has a solid build This is a cigar i will buy again as the cost is great for the level of quality it will even give some of the more expensive bad boys a run for their money I would also Agree with the claims its like a Michellero its taste and smells similar just slightly stronger Though i think its more down to the taste of the Nicaraguan tobaccos used in its creation will give 4/5

A great short cigar. Slightly tight but still an easy draw. Dark chocolate, creamy coffee flavour with a hint of spice. Wonderful 35mins with plenty of aromatic smoke and firm white ash. Definitely a new addition to my favourites list

Unbelievable value! A cracking 20-25 mins smoke taking it easy, plenty of aromatic smoke and a rich, woody flavour without being too strong. I paired mine with an espresso and a single malt, sat in the sun and relaxed. Other than maybe a Mitchellero, you won’t find better value.

Excellent from start to finish, description says medium but its full of flavour. Perfect draw and loads of smoke too, would definitely buy more, a great shorter alternative to my current favourite (Michellero Sporty).
