just had one of these and i think the previous reviews are a little unfair. OK it wasnt the best made cigar in the world and the wrapper was a little rough but it burnt well and evenly. It is not exactly sophisticated or top notch but what do you expect at this price? It was a good, light-hearted, uncomplicated, late night smoke. Good for the price!

Went through 25 of these recently. I`ve smoked hundreds of Nacionales and quite a few Cazadores as well. Piedras all use the same tobacco (according to my tobacconist) - they`re a good, honest, fair priced Cuban smoke, better than some I could mention. They`re made to a price, and the quality control can be spotty. I`d rather have a poor Conserva than pay seventeen quid for a poor Churchill from a "top brand" - and to be quite honest, what with plugged cigars and unfolding wrappers appearing on even the "best" Cubans, it makes more sense to find a cheap everyday smoke which you enjoy, occaisionally smoking "specials" and the entire Piedra line does that nicely. We can`t all smoke the "best" all the time, and if you want a decent, honest, nice Cuban everyday smoke - here it is. What ARE people complaining about ?? Piedra could up their QC checks and sell for a lot more - and that`s what a lot of cigar companies do - hats off to Piedra, I say. ;-)))))))

Bought a few of these off licence priced stogies for around the house, and quite frankly it is hit and miss with the QC, as mentioned in previous reviews.
The ones I had mostly were a fast burn which almost stopped half way through, a tough draw at times and a few heavy cranks did the trick, sometimes on a session I need a few heavy draws to keep going and revert to these.
Not bad..but then again not good, more of a dancefloor at 1.30 in the morning than for special occasions or the regualar puffer, again at an affordable price for the smoker, but each to their own, try and you *may* be surprised, after having a few it leaves you thinking: with a little care, love and attention these could be a high end cigar.
