If there is one particularly famous cigar factory in Havana, it is Partagas. The factory was opened in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas and it has been making the cigars that bear his name ever since.

A Partagas is immediately recognisable by its deep, earthly flavour. The character of its blend springs from a selection of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone and chosen for their unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma.

The best known of all Partagas is the Serie D No. 4, the robusto size that formed part of the legendary Partagas alphabet series that dates back to the 1930's. In 2005 a Piramide, the Partagas Serie P No. 2, was added to the range, which fast became a cigar of choice amongst lovers of full flavoured Habanos. In 2011 the Serie D No. 5 and the heavy ring gauge Serie E No. 2 extended the alphabet series once again.

Tasting Notes

This cigar will definitely improve with age. With its countless flavours and spice sweet flavour, this cigar is a must for Partagas fans. A noble smoke which expresses the rich, earthy spices associated with Partagas. The superb blend makes this an ideal candidate for laying down and aging.

in the last week i have had a PLPC (tight draw) an inka secret blend (yawn) and tonight.....a PS2.....OMFG.....again i have to state that im no connoisseur....i cant go on about this or that flavours....and i absolutely love the SD4 but if theres better out there than either of these 2 partagas vitolas then i'd love to get my hands on them....this was quite possibly the best i've had....amazing flavours....great draw....superb burn....huge mouthfulls of gorgeous smoke.....i wish i could afford to smoke these or the SD4 all the time.....hence the inka to my shame (it wasnt that bad)lol. the SP2 is truly a prince of its vitola....including the monte no2.....im rabbiting now but im sure you get the picture.....try at least one of these in your life....you wont be dissapointed

This has marched straight into my top 3. What a great smoke, You dont have to wait till the last third to get the nice spice flavour, its there from the start. and when you do get to the final third it will blow you away with the flavours. I didnt want this cigar to finish. Would recomend this Partagas to anyone.

piramides are my fav shape of cigars and this is 1 of the best by far. It is a big, busty, Beautiful brute. Perfectly constructed, smooth, strong and tasty. Great burn. It took me over an hour and a half to smoke with a bottle of Glayva. Perfect.

Just in the middle of my box and they are delicious! Strong but with a full flavour and not a single construction problem as of yet. One of the best cigars of this vitola i have ever had written by W.Hall
