Nose: Extremely complex and "very mature." Initial aromas include dark honey, toffee, caramel, and rich, dried fruits (raisins, prunes, dried peach). This is layered with spices such as nutmeg, cloves, and pepper, along with notes of old leather, roasted nuts (pecan), and dark chocolate/mocha.
Palate: Oily, creamy, and smooth mouthfeel. It is heavily sherry-driven, featuring rum-soaked cherries, molasses, fruit leather, and a distinct "dunnage warehouse" mustiness or earthy, peaty undertone. Hints of bitter coffee and dark wood tannins emerge with time.
Finish: Very long and warm, with lingering notes of sherry, dark chocolate, tobacco, nuts, and a gentle woody drynes
