Liga Privada T52 Coronet – Very nice. Peppery but not too spicy. Leather and wood – reminds me of Romeo y Julieta No.2
Larutan Dirties – Nice. Sweet yummy chocolate, mild, less of a punch, more of a build-up.
Undercrown Sungrown Coronet – Nope, not very enjoyable. Quite bitter and too peppery.
Liga Privada No.9 Coronet – As per the T52, but a little more spicy. Nice, but prefer the T52.
Undercrown Maduro Coronet – Much nicer than the Sungrown above. Smoother, with leather and spice and a dash of pepper. So far the best of the Undercrowns.
Undercrown Shade Coronet – Very nice, but a little too mild for my liking. Better than the Sungrown, but not as nice as the Maduro. Warm and leathery, smooth but could do with a bit more of the pepper.
Tabak Especial Oscuro Cafecita – On a par with the Larutan Chocolate Dirty, but I prefer the chocolate to the coffee. Very nice though...
Overall opinion? Excellent sampler for those who don’t know Drew. I didn’t have the best opinion of Nicaraguans and always favoured Cubans, but these are very good. All of them were just right on the draw and very well made. Not usually a fan of flavoured, but I could easily be convinced with the Larutan Dirties and the Tabak Especial. Overall fave was probably the T52, closely followed by the No.9. Disappointed by the Sungrown, but that was probably just a matter of taste.
