ALADINO

"This is a true classic old fashioned cigar" Julio R. Eiroa

Aladino embodies every word in that phrase. This cigar is a "Puro" of authentic corojo grown in the JRE Tobacco Farm in Honduras from original Cuban seed of Corojo.

It's flavour characteristics are unique to its kind that brings you back to the golden era of cigars in Cuba from 1947 - 1961 with its traditional sizes.

JRE Tobacco is a family-centered company, founded by Julio R. Eiroa and his son Justo M. Eiroa, together they manage all aspects of the cigar growing and manufacturing for your enjoyment!

Farming for these cigars starts at the green house and ends for them when they bring down the tobacco leaves from the barn. Curing and aging is their expertise and distinguishes this brand from the rest of the industry. After this process, the tobacco is put through the next stage of slow oxidation and degradation of carotenoids, that gives properly cured tobacco its sweetness, bringing the characteristics and most important its uniform taste, so that they can give you consistent quality and great tasting cigars.

The aging process can range from a period of 18 - 24 months after the harvest.

CAMEROON

The Cameroon range by Aladino uses 100% Corojo tobacco for their binder and filler which is held together with a beautiful Cameroon wrapper from the JRE tobacco farm.

Tasting Notes

Flavours of cedar, light red pepper, bakers spice, citrus fruit and caramel emerge on the palate throughout this smoke.

89 / 100

"The cap is a bit lopsided and the wrapper, slightly mottled. This robusto starts out dry and earthy with woody notes of pine, walnut and a touch of black pepper. The walnut recurs on the finish..."

Milder than the Corojo Robusto but no less enjoyable. Initially some very nice sweet notes (caramelised apples) that fade to pleasant leathery and earthy notes. I have now smoked two Robustos from the Aladino brand and I will certainly be coming back for more.
