ALADINO

Aladino embodies every word in that phrase. This cigar is a "Puro" of authentic corojo grown in the Jre Tobacco Farm in Honduras from original Cuban seed of Corojo. It's flavour characteristics are unique to its kind that brings you back to the golden era of cigars in Cuba from 1947 - 1961 with its traditional sizes.

Farming for these cigars starts at the green house and ends for them when they bring down the tobacco leaves from the barn. Curing and aging is their expertise and distinguishes this brand from the rest of the industry. After this process, the tobacco is put through the next stage of slow oxidation and degradation of carotenoids, that gives properly cured tobacco its sweetness, bringing the characteristics and most important its uniform taste.

The aging process can range from a period of 18 - 24 months after the harvest.

MADURO

The Maduro range by Aladino uses 100% Corojo tobacco for their binder and filler which is held together with a dark and delicious San Andres Maduro wrapper, adding that slight touch of sweetness on the lips.

The aroma is nice, not as much as other cigars I have smoked. Currently smoking and currntly working toward the last 3rd, I can appreciate this cigar and rich, rich flavours it provides. First 3rd is a slight sweetness, I can taste the coffee, earth and cedar. I belive my pallete is improving and tasting the cigar notes. As the you go down the last 3rd it becomes more earthy and woody notes. It does get a bit bitter (maybe smoking it too fast, still a nub here). Maybe slight peppery notes for me all though this is subjective. Regarding the burn, was fairly even at first, but u can correct this by pointing the cigar where the uneven burn sorts itself out. (Were the un burnt part of the wrapper leaf is let it face upwards it works).

Thoroughly enjoyed this one - love the square box pressing, reminded me of my Dad smoking the old Villigers. Quite robust, good solid smoke, no surprises and quality construction so all good.

An excellent cigar from Honduras! Medium to full-bodied strength. Earthy notes with a slight nuance of dried plums and/or beetroot, smoked oakwood and Borodinsky bread. No leather notes at all, which I personally find very pleasing! The smoke is smooth and rich but not creamy. The cigar burns very well, and the draw is perfect. The flavour doesn't overstay its welcome on your palate. It gets a 10/10 from me.

An absolutely stunning cigar. Great construction. Firm, great draw and cool even burn. Starts with dark coffee notes, a hint of sweetness, a slight spice, earthy woody notes. Into dark chocolate with coffee, no bitterness. Slight mellow creamy notes come in after the 1st 3rd, in to the 2nd 3rd. The end of the 2nd 3rd more mellow mocha. Beautiful earthy woody cool spice notes throughout, particularly on the retrohale. Didnt want it to end, pure meditation. Ill be buying more of these and the price is fantastic.
