Villiger Export Maduro was introduced into the UK market September 2011 as an extension to the successful Villiger Export line. A different taste due to the Arapiraca wrapper which gives the cigar its rich and full bodied taste.

Great continental cigar, with rich dark blend of Cuban tobacco.

A pretty okay little smoke. The first half is a little bland, picking up to a nice chocolate flavour as you approach the last third, becoming a little more robust and chewy, which is great. Just a shame it takes a while to get there, but itÂ’s an easy smoke with a nice draw and a good even burn. Just be ready to pick bits out of your mouth though as itÂ’s a little loose in the top end. It does the job the money pays for though, so alls weÂ’ll that ends well.

Having read the tasting notes on these with promises of coffee, dark chocolate, nuttiness and wood this seemed to be right up my street. Upon opening these were square shaped, machine rolled cigars. A lovely dark wrapper but a bit light on the pre light nose, no particular scent other than just a bit of tobacco, but this wasn't strong. The burn was even and the ash held together well throughout the first third: however I can't comment on the final two thirds as I didn't get that far. This tasted harsh. Sadly I got a bit of earthiness but it was simply harsh tobacco. None of the promised flavours came through and I could feel it affecting my throat after the first third I decided not to persevere. OK, I'm aware that this wasn't ever going to compare to a high priced hand rolled cigar, and if I'm being honest I didn't believe that I would get all of the tastes promised. However I did expect it to be palatable and smokeable, but it wasn't. This was a shame as I wanted to like these, but I simply had no desire to carry on or even try another. I gave the remaining 4 away so there will not be any follow up thoughts or another review.

I picked up a pack of these from Asda a couple of weeks back. For the money they provide a decent little smoke, providing hints of wood, tobacco and a touch of coacoa and coffee. They burn nicely although do start to get pretty harsh in the last half. Tons of smoke output!

I got a pack of these because of the review Kirsty gave and I have to say she was spot on. Good firm pack crisp Even burn perfect draw. The ash held on past first 3rd landed in ashtray like a totem pole. Light nutty flavour to start going though to a caramel leather, with a slightly sweet coco on the Finnish good for a beginner wanting to try a maduro without the expense! Satisfying smoke great cigars, Five stars,Have to mention the outstanding customer service, free delivery for orders over £50 and a few freebies too, very nice thanks cgars.

These cigars really must be tried - the best machine made cigar I have ever smoked it has surprisingly complex flavours and for me it surpasses some hand rolled cigars. It has a rich chocolate and nutty flavours and is a great everyday smoke. A Great value quality smoke!
