Definitely a firm draw with this cigar, which can be off putting for me at first. I stuck with it and grew to really enjoy this cigar. I smoked it on a breezy night on holiday - other cigars would have burned away quickly. The breeze had no effect whatsoever on this baby. Paired with an oaky red Rioja followed by a very smooth rum.

Lovely rich woody, leathery smoke that I took my time with. Burn was slow and even and I grew to really like it. Recommend you put it down and leave a good minute between draws in the initial phase. Didn’t need any relights. Would say best as an after dinner smoke. Strong earthy and complex.

Came as a sampler set of Cuban Robustos from C Gars.

My final thought is that this is cigar not to rush. Take your time and the magic will unfold. The last third definitely gets interesting in the spice department and the flavour really develops. Things were getting better where other cigars are getting a bit stale. It’s the best final third in a while. I didn’t want it to end. It has left me intrigued and feeling safe in the knowledge that Cubans are always full of surprises.
