Actually, ahemmmmmmm - the original cigar I reviewed turned out to be a FAKE !!!! - bought NOT from Cgars, I do hasten to add. Thinking back, I seem to have got some kind of box pressed affair - kept the label, got it out and - guess what, folks ? Different labels...... caveat vendor. ;-)) The tubes are different in colour, too. Well, well.... The current Upmann I`m smoking at the moment is proving to be a nice, spicy stogie with a few Monte like hints in it - are they made at the same factory ?? - pleasant smoke, medium flavour, tight - ish draw, which may be why they go out on first time smokers. A nice flavourful cigar - well constructed - yep, I`d have another. Stuck between a three and a four on this one (as you can see, I went for a three - by no means a magnificent smoke, but - not bad, and a good into to Cubans for beginners. Though perhaps with a little TOO much bite for the first time cigar smoker. Being a humble tubo, you can`t imagine TOO much from this ally clad corona - but it`s a good intro cigar for those who`ve moved on from Dominican and Hondurans and want something with a little more "oomph". There are more chacterful cigars - Romeo No 2 Tubo - Bolivar No 2 Tubo if you decide to shock yourself - but - well, I wouldn`t refuse one if handed to me but wouldn`t buy one in preference to a properly humidified non - ally clad stick. In the long run, you can`t complain. "It does exactly what it says on the tin". ;-)) written by Dave Francis

First time smoker of this brand, didnt particularly enjoy it that much. Tasted a little bit woody, and found it hard to keep lit. Had to relight 3 times. Overall not a bad smoke but one I wouldnt go back to that quickly. written by Paul

Er. A good cigar, but I don`t know where the "mild to medium" flavour came in - I may have got a misfit, but the one I lit up was definitely approaching full strength. Very nicely made - some burn problems, but a very earthy flavour which you`ll either love or hate. I`d go for a Punch or Romeo over an Upmann Tubo. Maybe I just got an odd one ? written by Dave Francis
