Description

A delicious Speyside Single malt distilled in 2013, matured for 9 years and finished in an ex-sauternes cask.

This Glenlossie was bottled by Stalla Dhu whiskies at 48% abv, sitting above the average, the slightly higher abv delivers the flavours of this liquid quite harmoniously.

Glenlossie was built in 1876 and it changed hands several times through the years.

The whisky is rarely seen as a single malt, as most of it is used nowadays in Diageo’s blends. It usually presents a delicate but slightly oily character, especially due to the use of purifier pipes during the distillation process.

Only 449 bottles were drawn from this Single Cask, making it quite a special one.

STALLA DHU

A rare collection of small batch and single cask malts from Scotland’s finest distilleries.

First and second generation members of our family of independent bottlers carefully select the whiskies showing particular promise.

We begin by managing the wood and continue by housing the environment and casks that best affect the ageing to achieve the unique results we strive for.

We let the whisky slumber till the time is right and then select the correct ABV to bring a very special wee dram to you.
