I had a couple of these sitting in my humidor for about a year, so I thought I'd give one a try this weekend. Judging by the packing at the foot of the cigar, construction looked good and the wrapper looked fine with no noticeably large veins. Pre-light aroma was like a very light manure, but not unpleasant. The draw was excellent from the very first puff with plenty of thick white smoke. The first third was mild, but with a very slight spiciness at the edge of the tongue. This developed into a beautiful creamy taste two-thirds in, still with a very easy draw. Unfortunately, by the final third, the wrapper began to unfurl, spoiling the experience somewhat. This was the only negative I could find. This cigar held it's ash very well and and was long lasting (about an hour) given it's relatively small size. Will definitely be buying these again and would recommend them highly.

As a novice smoker researching the cigar selection for our wedding, this was bought on recommendation from your shop in Glasgow as the ideal length of smoke for this occasion. Smoked after brunch at a civilised Glasgow cafe, it started out with a light draw but soon developed into something more substantial, and a coffee latte complimented it very well indeed. It lasted a satisfyingly long time, and while classed as a light to medium cigar, certainly gave this novice a powerful smoking experience. Definitely a serious contender for our wedding selection.

A great cigar, by far the best I've smoked over the past few months. The draw was effortless, taste was nice and light to begin with, although the last 2/3rds brought wonderfully deep flavours. I have another from this brand and I am hoping for more of the same! I would rate 6/5, I enjoyed it that much!

The San Cristobal De La Habana El Principe is a very tasty small cigar with a perfect draw mild to medium in strength with tastes of dried apricot at first then becoming spiced apricot that lasts to the end an excellent 40 minutes smoke, ideal for the beginner, coffee break or alfresco pub smoke. other small cigars that are really good are the Cohiba Siglo I, Rafael Gonzalez Perlas, Trinidad Reyes and the Montecristo No.5

I've scored it in the middle as I don't want to put people off what appears to be a great smoke (read all the reviews before I writing mine). From reading the reviews I'm guessing its a case of me being slightly unlucky. Everything about this cigar was promising, look, feel, smell but that's were it ended unfortunately. It was so tightly rolled that I had to give up about 3rd in, gutted to say the least as the aroma coming off it was lovely and the minimal amounts of smoke coming through was leaving some lovely flavours but it become impossible to smoke. As I a say read all the other reviews first but for me it just wasn't my day...or cigar!

Mixed feelings on this one. Had a really weird taste to begin with, which eventually became very pleasant towards the final third. Was very prone to tunneling and canoeing. 7/10.
