ROMEO Y JULIETA

Named after William Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, the origins of Romeo y Julieta as a Havana date back to 1875.

The brand rose to international fame during the early years of the 20th Century under the direction of Don ‘Pepin’ Rodriguez, a talented promoter who was amongst the first to recognise the power of the cigar band. During his heyday no less than 20,000 different bands were used in the production of cigars.

Winston Churchill became a devotee of the brand and following his visit to Havana in 1946, his name has not only been commemorated on a band, but it has also served to describe the marque’s most famous size – Romeo y Julieta Churchills.

Romeo y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Havana.

Today Romeo y Julieta is as well known around the world as ever and offers one of the widest range of tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade – sizes of any Havana brand.

PURITOS

Romeo y Julieta Puritos are an excellent cigar for those with little time on their hands to enjoy a puff of Cuban magic. Well balanced and aromatic, with a light-medium flavour.

It's ok cheap Cuban mini cigar. I bought this so I can scratch my each during weekdays l. Unfortunately I'm disappointed with the construction half way through it's ok then it becomes very soft I've tried to smoke them as slowly as possible but it made a marginal difference and that's a pity because they are quite tasty. Out of 5 in the box 2 fall apart just after halfway the other 3 had to stop smoking way before last third started.

Lovely beginners Cigar at a good price First Cigar I tried was Henri wintermans corona sumatra tubed which is a similar cigar also good but I would recommend this over the Henri winter man's, half the size which I find an ideal smoking time 15-20mins Recommend

Lasts a good 15-20 minutes. Easy draw and for my taste the best Puritos currently available. Lovely flavours as you move between the first and second half with no bitterness.

Smoked 1 so far, I had to relight the cigar 4 times which is the only downside, other than that, I belive they are nice smoke with coffee. For a small cigar, it produces a lot of smoke. Would give it 4 stars but relighing 4 times is what lets it down. I am getting to that stage where I am looking at humidors with hygrometer. I consider myself as intermediate novice to cigars, and currently branching out to pick my favourites. I would say the Romeo Y Juliette puritos, are good for quick smoke while blogging or working lol. I have tried different cigars, like the inka secret blend and the trinidad shorts, in terms of after taste, Romeo Y Juliette isn't as bad, Romeo Y Juliette number 2's are a bit strong if you are a novice, (that was my 2nd cigar ever to smoke).

Beautiful smoke, found it very mild and lasted over 15 minutes, easy draw, stayed alight and did not leave a lot of after taste. Great value for money. A Cuban delight.
