Founded in 1848, Robert McConnell quickly became one of Britain’s most celebrated pipe tobacco blenders. Known for their dedication to tradition and quality, McConnell not only created their own legendary mixtures but also crafted blends for iconic names such as Dunhill and Ser Jacopo. Though production eventually moved from Britain to Kohlhase & Kopp in Germany, every McConnell blend is still produced according to the original recipes, preserving over 175 years of heritage for today’s discerning pipe smoker.

The base of this tobacco are red, brown and golden Virginias. Served with a portion of premium Latakia, this blend receives a delicious spicy note. The Virginia tobaccos make this still a pleasant tasting experience. Full-bodied tobacco with the appeal of aromatic tannins. Wonderfully “Old School” and an excellent entry way into the world of Latakia.
