Ramon Allones Small Club Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 12 September, 2010
First look at this cigar and I thought that it would be strong as the wrapper was quite darker than most cigars I smoke but when it came to actually smoking it I was pleasantly surprised. The taste is quite chocolatey with leather and coffee also noticeable – ‘Rich’ would be a word to accurately describe it. The only problem was my stick was very tightly made so it caused some draw problems but apart from that it was great.

Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

A superb cigar, very smooth from the first puff to the last. The taste was very nutty like almonds with hints of leather. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar as I’m usually put off by the length of other cigars with this ring gauge as they take over an hour to smoke but this one can be enjoyed in 45min.

Partagas Serie D No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single

Okay there are cigars with flavour, and there are cigars with flavour, and this is certainly the latter! The first few puffs simply released an explosion of spice, sweetness, leather, with hints of ginger and cinnamon, in an oily super smooth fire of peppers (without the heat of course!). The strength of the spice and richness of the flavours continued. Some floral tones creaping through in the after taste, with a lovely nutty roast. The tobacco is so damn rich and smooth that it literally felt like licking an ice-cream made from pure warm roasted Cuban leaf! Creamy and earthy flavours were also evident. Just a multi-tude of character beaming from this cigar! Even finding the leather rich, creamy and smooth that it just adds to the whole experience makeup. Overall, this is one of only a few cigars I have smoked that rigorously drowns you in a rich stew of flavours. Only problem was its increasingly feathery structure that did seem to collapse by the final few inches, resulting in multiple puffs just to get a good amount of smoke in it. Sadly more puffs per draw equated to an increase

Montecristo Open J Cigar - 1 Single

An OK cigar, nothing spectacular. The construction was quite light compared to other cigars that i have smoked of similar size. First few puffs were a bit harsh but then things mellowed out. Not a bland cigar, quite spicy but i was expecting a bit more considering the price and name. Maybe i had too high hopes for this.

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

I'm a big fan of RYJ, so when it came to celebrate I took one of these to a ball to have after my dinner. I have to say it was one of the best cigars i had. The the cigar length and gauge was excellent, a substantial cigar that felt well in your had as you took some nice relaxed puffs with your chosen drink. The smoke itself wasn't harsh, which is the reason i like RYJ but it was far from bland. A very creamy and vanilla like taste with a tingle on the tongue as you blow the smoke out. I retained my tube as it felt a waste to bin it but i have ordered more ,so its great to carry your cigar without damaging it. Would recommend this cigar to anyone without hesitation

Punch Petit Coronations Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

Pretty decent value cigar for a beginner. The smoke was a bit on the thin side for me personally, but flavour was decent and quite chocolatey. It burned evenly and didn't go out at all. Wouldn't necessarily be top of my list to buy again, but equally wouldn't be put off in the future.
