Antonio Gimenez Panatela Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 21 September, 2014
I bought 2 of these to be sure of seeing if I liked them. I tried them within 5 days of receipt. They are fairly cheap and hopes were not high. I've sampled a good range of cigars over 30 years, but these are easily the least satisfying and most annoying. It is impossible to keep them alight. The burn is temporarily OK until ignition occurs through another nearer segment, (not the tip) leading to a 1 cm length of unburned wrapper and a total burn on the opposite side of the cylinder. Re-lighting is only feasible with a big taper or after trimming the end square. The flavour is fairly harsh, but not bad. For the price one is buying immense frustration with no redeeming features that I could discover. Both samples did exactly the same thing, The Fuente at a similar price were streets ahead.

Alec Bradley Texas Lancero Cigar - 1 Single

Surprisingly good for what I assumed was a novelty cigar, pleasant all the way through. Plus my Cuban crafters cutter did the job of getting a nice cut best part of my cigar was 3/4 in when I got hints of cocoa and coffee. I will definitely buy another from Cgars - (Facebook)

Alec Bradley Black Market Punk Petit Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 28 July, 2014
Being new to cigar smoking I don't have many similar cigar experiences to compare the Alec Bradley Punk to, but here are my first impressions of such a cigar. After cutting and checking the draw, which was much easier than the last I tried (MC No.4), a slight sweetness was immediately noticeable. On lighting, my first few draws delivered a rich, creamy smoke, heavy with toasted cedar notes. Lots of thick pure tobacco smoke carried through the first third, onto a subtle lick of black liquorice in the second and a steadily building sweetness throughout. Clean, white ash and good even burn all the way down. Medium in strength, big on flavour. Very enjoyable and definitely one I will revisit.

Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill Cigar - 1 Single

Great Cigar. Straight medium flavours of cream, spice(pepper) with a fair bit of Citrus(Apricot) some wood notes. I bet some reading this just laughed but there was a distinct apricot flavour coming through which was confirmed by a good m8 who was also smoking the same cigar. But be warned, even though alot of reviews have this as a medium strength smoke, which for the first two thirds it was. But on hitting the last third the strength really increased. This cigar demands you smoke after a good full meal or at least have a good sweet/sugar based drink to counter the nicotine. Smoke time was around the one and half hours to two hour mark. For the price you cannot complain about this cigar and well worth at least trying one stick.

Ashton Winding Road Pipe Tobacco 50g Tin
Date Added: Wednesday 04 June, 2014
Upon opening the fresh tin of the Ashton winding road pipe tobacco, the aroma has a unique scent that smells like apricot and citrus. Although the tobacco is relatively moist, I would advise to allow drying time and for the tobacco to be smoked easily and preventing any tongue-bite issues. overall a very mellow and pleasant smoke.
