Plasencia Reserva Original Piramide Cigar - 1 Single

I generally rate Plasencias, they are enjoyable and smooth with a good draw. However, in my most recent stick I found a huge chunk of midrib that should never have made it into the cigar. It restricted the draw and made for harsh, bitter flavours. Fault can't be ascribed to Cgars here, but nonetheless, it was a waste of £24.

The Plasencia Original Reserva was a cigar I’d been curious about for a while, especially since Plasencia has such a strong reputation for craftsmanship and sustainability. This blend is made entirely from organically grown Nicaraguan tobacco, and that purity really comes through in the flavor. On the cold draw, I picked up soft notes of cedar, hay, and a touch of natural sweetness. Once lit, the cigar offered smooth, creamy smoke carrying flavors of toasted nuts, wood, and gentle spice. What I liked most about the Original Reserva was its harmony—it never felt harsh or overpowering, yet it still had enough flavor to keep me engaged. It’s a refined cigar that rewards slow, mindful smoking and showcases Plasencia’s attention to detail. Overall, this cigar feels like a perfect introduction to the Plasencia range—well-made, flavorful, and balanced, with just the right touch of complexity. Rating: 8/10

Well constructed and easy yo smoke with no issues. Cedar, Toasted nuts and espresso with a medium amount of spice. Nice mouth feel with plenty of smoke and a straight burn line made this cigar great to smoke after a nice Sunday roast. Held the ash fairly well.

This is a very good cigar, especially for around ?20. Perfect draw, very nice burn and loads of smoke output. Flavour notes for me are nuts and a mild milk chocolate. You can really taste the 5 year age from the tobacco. I will definitely buy again. Good everyday smoke.

A solid build, draws well and good burn Throughout all the thirds it had a bitter aftertaste/burnt coffee taste. Not rated.
