My first foray into the Oliva brand will not be the last. The Serie G introduces itself with rich coffee and chocolate flavours, a creamy and luxurious smoke which left sweet toasted-almonds on the finish. I couldnt help but smile after every draw. The chocolate moves aside in the second third giving way to a full bodied leather and darker roast coffee profile, earth and oak, there were some tangs of pepper but so mild I would discount them. The cigar finishes by toning down the leather and bringing back some of that earlier sweetness, this time in the form of the earth and wood flavours, a good ending to a great smoke. Perfect burn and build. My only regret is that I only bought one.

This is my favourite cigar. Hands down the most enjoyable smoke Ive had in the short time Ive been smoking cigars. It is immaculately built, burns perfectly and draws beautifully. Admittedly Im by no means an aficionado but smoking this little beauty was the first time I could really pick out some flavour. Nice earthy notes on the draw, bit of spice on the retro and finishing with a lovely pepper taste on the lips. This was the first time I tried a quality Maduro wrapped cigar and Im a fan. Ive had a few darker smokes since but this little belicoso is the one that started it all. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new.

Expect about 40 mins from a this, quite a fast burner. Light bodied with subtle chocolate and coffee. Very smooth, no spice or pepper. Base notes of that Nicaraguan nutty flavour with a leather finish. I enioyed this Oliva, clean tasting and no bitterness. A little light for my tastes and did burn quite quick for its size. Good lunch time smoke.

Superb cigar! Lit well, nice draw, plenty of rich grey smoke and a beautifully packed whitish, grey ash. It has a nice rich flavour but not too overpowering. I'm having it with a glass of neat Makers Mark and they are complimenting each other well. I bought this to go with a varied selection of holiday cigars and now I'm regretting only buying the one. I'm halfway through and still the ash is sitting in one piece from lighting - not bad considering I'm sitting outside with a fair breeze blowing. Oliva has always made fine alternatives to my favoured Cubans but in my option they are surpassing themselves these days. Oooops! Took my eye of the ball and now have a lap full of ash - no matter, it was worth it. Excellent smoke at an excellent price.
