Montecristo is the best known and probably most appreciated brand of Habanos throughout the world. It forms the benchmark for many Habanos smokers against which other brands are judged.

The name comes from the hero of Alexandre Dumas' famous novel 'The Count of Montecristo,' which was a firm favourite when read by the Lector to the Torcedores (cigar makers) at the factory where it was founded in 1935.

The original Montecristo range of sizes was composed of a narrow assortment numbered from 1 to 5. Today it consists of a wide variety of vitolas to cover every level of the cigar enthusiast's needs.

Montecristo's perfectly balanced blends are created exclusively with selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, home of the finest tobaccos in the world.

Tasting Notes

A mild bitter cocoa and spicy taste, great aroma. Nice, even burn, consistently good quality. A Havana that will never let you down.

90 / 100

"...Though firm at first, the draw of this corona eventually opens up, imparting a smoke that begins dry and hoppy but warms to show nutmeg, clove and orange peel. A chocolate note emerges as well..."

TOP QUALITY!!! The taste is spot on, the consistency and texture are just about perfect, the kick hits the spot, the draw is neither too tight or too lose, never had one split or run - the only fault is that it doesnt last longer - but just light up another, and that problem is easily solved! written by Dave Watson

I just got my first box of No. 3's and enjoyed one yesterday. The draw is perfect, it burns evenly, and the taste is excellent. It starts off a little on the peppery side, but quickly mellows to a very nice, bold flavor. At about a thirty minutes to smoke, it makes a great before dinner cigar. written by smokemd
