Great cigar , & great smoke.
Recently got this within the BBQ sampler , and was really surprised with it.
I wasn't expecting much... As I've never heard of the brand or heard anything/seen a review on the blend.
But yeah it was a great , great smoke.
Burned evenly throughout nearly all of it , had to retouch about half way down just because of a slight tunneling , it was only a tiny alignment error in the roll & quickly aligned once the retouch was done. a
Aside from that single issue though the roll quality was great & draw was excellent , and the profile was great too.
Fantastic taste on the retro-hale, great spice notes there especially in the 2nd & 3rd quarters I found.
I personally had this alongside a sweeter coffee , & personally I found the cigar sang great that way.
Great earthy notes , good spice & nice cocoa notes there in the 1st & 2nd quarters too.
Would definitely recommend , a great smoke for the price.

These are my go to cigar. They may not be the fanciest or most glamorous cigars on the market, but to my personal taste they are perfect. I prefer a woody flavour in my cigars and these have a slight flavour of cedar to them which I like, also a light flavour of pepper adds to the profile. Mh one critique would be a strong Smokey flavour that stays throughout the cigar. It has the same sort of flavour as a smokey whisky.

Disappointing I must admit. When I tried this cigar I had high hopes but the overwhelming taste of ash and strong smell of tobacco (like cigarettes) ruined this for me.

The Mitchellero Corona was a bit of a journey for me. The first one I tried wasn’t great, the draw was tight and the smoke just didn’t hit the mark, especially compared to some of my favourites from this brand. I honestly gave it a 2/10 at that point.
A little later I gave it another go, this time dry boxing for an hour and using a punch cut. That made a big difference, the draw opened up nicely, and I ended up enjoying the whole thing. The flavours came through better and it felt much smoother, bumping my rating up to an 8/10.
By the third go, I’d left it out for about six hours and used a shallow V-cut instead, and again it performed really well. So, while my first impression wasn’t great, a bit of patience and prep really changed the experience. Now I’d happily call it a solid 8/10 smoke, not flawless, but when treated right, very enjoyable.

The Mitchellero Corona was a straightforward smoke that felt very much like an everyday kind of cigar. It’s small and quick, which makes it convenient, but it doesn’t deliver the same depth as some of the larger formats. Flavor-wise, it’s earthy and woody with just a touch of pepper, but it stays fairly one-dimensional throughout. The draw was a bit tight on the one I smoked, though still manageable. The burn was mostly even, and the ash held on better than I expected for a smaller cigar. This isn’t a complex or fancy smoke, but I can see it being handy for situations where you don’t have time for a full robusto. It has a rustic charm. The strength is mild-to-medium, so it’s easy enough for a beginner to handle, though it doesn’t really deliver the same satisfaction as some of the other cigars I’ve tried. Overall, I’d say it works as a casual or quick smoke, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I had more time.
Rating: 6/10
