Like this stick's Honduran brother, this is not bad.
First impression: The cigar was firm to the touch; not a lot of give. It had a mild tobacco aroma.
Upon lighting, I was surprised to find that unlike the blurb on this stick, it had a tight draw that carried on throughout.
The flavour is nice, with a rich tobacco taste and a nutty underscore.
As I moved on to the middle third the taste got a bit stronger and richer. It was augmented by a woody flavour that added to my enjoyment.
Again, the draw was still tight. I had to coax it to keep it going but still had to relight it once.
Going into the final third, the taste remained consistent. I did have a quick moment of dread when I tasted tar - I began to worry it was going to be like the Honduran I smoked yesterday. However, it was gone as quickly as it came.
In conclusion, this is a nice, medium-flavoured stick. Draw is tight, but the flavour is worth the effort. There's an average amount of smoke, and overall this is a decent cigar; certainly worth a try.
