This was sent to me in place of the Blue Bombaso I had ordered (presumably sold out), and Im very grateful to Cgars for sending this slightly more expensive stick in its place. However, as much as I hate being negative, these reviews are here to help and inform - I was disappointed (the following are subjective views and I could well have had a dud). The construction seemed to be very tight and, when lit and throughout smoking, it had a horribly tight draw with very little reward. The cap is extremely shallow and suspect, so I punched it rather than cutting. Very little smoke output and a curious metallic taste throughout, particularly on the retro-hale (which was the only way of garnering any noticeable taste). Lasted around 50 minutes and to be honest I was glad when it was over. I will probably avoid in the future.

Well, the cigar burned well and produced nice quantities of smoke. I wasn't hugely impressed by anything really, fairly one dimensional taste and aroma. Some sweetness and pleasing tastes but really I was quite pleased when it was finished. It has put me off buying large diameter cigars to be honest.

Having sat down in the garden and worked through this for 45 minutes last night I came to the conclusion that everybody who wonders why there is a premium for Cuban cigars should smoke one of these. Essentially it is a fine product and the only issue most people will have is cutting the end off (its 60 ring gauge!). Fortunately the cutter which was supplied with the order it (just) up to the task. Construction is excellent, holds its white ash very well and despite feeling well packed, has a good draw. The problem is that there is just no flavour to it whatsoever, smoked it down to the label and it sadly remained bland from start to finish. Shame really because in many ways this is a good cigar, just not one for me.

These cigars are terrible, almost impossible to draw, as they are to tightly packed for the length of them and to compensate you have to cut more off the end than you would normally. This in turn causes the outer wrapping leaf to unravel and the cigar starts to burn down the one side making it virtually impossible to smoke after a quarter way through. Points out of ten 1.5.

Good value and not a bad smoke. First time I tried a non-Cuban cigar and it is quite nice. The smoke lasts about an hour, though not as good as my usual Hanbano smoke but still I find this very nice!

From looking at its formidable 60 ring gauge and dense filler it would be fair to assume that this is an extremely intense cigar. However, once lit it may surprise you with its initially subtle flavours. There is a rich sweetness that gradually develops through the first two thirds, with occasion hints of fruitiness. Once into the final third the sweetness and the intensity get turned up to 11, with classic roasted coffee notes coming through. The construction is impeccable and the ash holds well throughout. I find these usually last about 40 mins for me, but I've known people to make them last well over an hour before! Highly recommended, particularly for the price! - Calum, Turmeaus Chester
