A fine 12 year old Japanese whisky from the distillery of Hakushu.
Although some might say it does not compare to its older siblings the 18 and 25 year old it is none the less smashing stuff, being named the best Japanese Single Malt 12 Years and younger for a reason!
Hakushu is the second Single Malt distillery from Japan’s first and most awarded Japanese Whisky producer Suntory.
Inspired by Japan’s natural forests, Suntory created 200 acres of nature sanctuary in which to produce Hakushu Single Malt. A single sip transports you to the harmonious forests of Japan.
This whisky is best served neat or on the rocks as it would be enjoyed in Japan.
For the innovators, try with a large sphere of crystal clear ice and experience the true Japanese way. Otherwise, mix long with ice and soda, garnished with mint in a Forest Highball.
Nose: Light and crisp with fresh notes of cut hay and sweet mixed peels. Also present is just a hint of hazelnut and barley malt.
Palate: Clean with notes of fresh cut fruits, gentle barley malt and smoke. A floral character with citrus zest.
Finish: Sweet and spicy.
