As others have said I had to use perfecdraw burnt well bit uneven initially then about 1/3 through just became very bitter and made me nauseous despite eating before and had to stop disappointing as first third was nice

Cracking little stick. A definite hit of mint & dark chocolate. Burn a little bit un even but think that was due to it being a bit windy outside when i was smoking it. Very easy draw and lasted over an hour. Highly enjoyable and will definately get more.

IÂ’m a big fan of Gurkha. IÂ’ve many really good cigars from them and all have been great. This oneÂ… I know Gurkha have a rep got advertising over quality, which is each to their own, personally, I love them. IÂ’ve had two of these in the humidor and I decided to have one yesterday. Draw was awfully tight, no smoke and thatÂ’s that. I know I could say to Cgars and get a replacement, but I should have used the Perfecdraw and sorted the knots, but for some reason I forgot. Had another less than ten mins ago. Same issue, so I use the handy perfecdraw and pulled out a knot that looked longer than the actual cigar. Maybe five inch. The draw and burn and flavour from then was what I expected from a Gurkha. Sweet, bitter dark chocolate and hazel. A creamy white smoke and brilliant burn. IÂ’ve had a lot of GurkhaÂ’s and we all need to remember that these are natural products, so sometimes a knot happens. IÂ’d always advise to get a perfecdraw incase. Would I recommend? Yes. For the most part. IÂ’d say, this isnÂ’t a beginners cigar. Strong, but not too strong for a seasoned smoker. But I canÂ’t stress enough the Perfecdraw if youÂ’re getting a Gurkha. ItÂ’s worried me, but the tool itself is worth its weight in gold (And I see you can get a Cgars gold and silver draw enhancer which I have my eyes on) soÂ… Final thoughts? Maybe expect a draw issue, like any cigar but donÂ’t give up. Use your draw enhancer and you should get a fantastic smoke which will blow you away. A 4/5 just for the mild inconvenience. But not a bad cigar.

punchy, sweet, smokes well start to finish. If you like a darker cure these are well worth a try.

Back in the day, I had a friendly merchant in The USA who would ship to The UK & they would regularly send free samples, usually of Gurkhas. Of the dozen or so I tried, I didnt find a single one I wanted to smoke again! They all tasted dirty, for the want of a better word. Strong, dusty & rather unpleasant. A decade later I decided to give this little one a try and even though I find pig tail caps really annoying (require both clipping AND punching!) this proved to be one of the most enjoyable sticks I have smoked! Nice white ash that stays together well, not too hot a smoke and a very mild flavour, which was surprising from a Maduro. Just ordered a box as a result.
