One of the oldest blends produced by Gawith Hoggarth, with mention of Birds Eye blends dating back to the 1880's and Dark Birds Eye specifically made in the last century. It is one of the first shag pipe tobaccos made by the company.
Made from Dark Malawi and Dark Indian leaf and using the mid-rib (stem) to give the impression of bird's eyes, this is a full, rich smoke. The strength of the Dark Malawi leaf compliments the smoothness of the sun-cured Dark Indian variety.
Unavailable in recent years, the team at Gawith's have worked hard to bring back this iconic blend in its original iteration.
