FONSECA

Don Francisco Fonseca founded his brand in the 1890's.

A handsome man, who cared deeply for appearances, he passed his sartorial precision on to his cigars, which he dressed in a silky tissue paper - a tradition that continues to this day on all the Habanos that bear his name.

The image of Francisco Fonseca, who developed this brand in 1906, still adorns the box today. Only in limited distribution, the Fonseca brand is considered to exhibit a rich but mild flavour. Fonseca's delicate blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone makes it the ideal Habano to follow a light meal.

All UK sizes of Fonseca are tripa larga, ‘totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.

KDT CADETE

A well-priced, small cigar dependent on its seco leaf to capture the flavour of Vuelta Abajo.

Tasting Notes

Lovely smooth easy smoke, the construction is good, the flavors a bit flat, in the sweet-earthy profile. A small cigar with big boy characteristics.

The most satisfying cigar I have ever had - tantalising complex flavours (earthy, coffee/chocolatety, leathery, gitanes, spicy), moist and creamy, smooth on the throat. Dont need to take out a mortgage to smoke them

I gave up smoking cigarettes a few years ago. I have only recently started with cigars, and smoked a few different grades, looking for a corona sized mild smoke, most are a little harsh but, this KDT Cadetes is the smoothest smoke I have found. A little hard to draw but satisfying an eminently enjoyable.

whoa! for a little cigar these pack some punch. i had one with my morning coffee and it blew me away. after reading the reviews i was expecting some good flavours, and it delivered. good burn if perhaps a little uneven half way down. the complexity that develops is astounding. It starts similar to a Upmann junior, soft and mellow, but by the end it was similar to a Bolivar Coronas Extra. I don't think i could smoke these all the time but i will definately consider getting a few for when i want that mid morning hit!

These cigars are suprisingly complex in flavour which changes dramatically the smaller the cigar becomes. They also have a very even, consistent burn throughout which proves it is of high quality. A well constructed cigar too (not too loose, not too tight).Don't let the size fool you!! Will definately buy again. written by Benji

These cigars are vey nice cheap mild smoke, which i have seen selling for double the price elsewhere! being a woman these are just the right size, not to big. with a medium flaviour and very wood tones. they are well worth a try! written by Dmaher
