Received as a £10 try something new cigar and I'm not disappointed. Drew Estates budget line of cigars and is available in the USA at less than £3 a cigar; unfortunately, its considerably more over here. Nice looking cigar. Mocha coloured, slightly rough feeling but oily wrapper, faultless construction, well packed with a near perfect draw using a V cut, burn line was slightly wavy but caused no issues and needed no corrections. Huge amounts of thick smoke and ashed every half inch or so. Flavour profile is fairly standard with lots of leather and cedar upfront followed by bittersweet coffee and dry cacao, has a nice hazelnut and subtle sweetness in the last third. Solid cigar and decent value for money considering the cigar size.

I received this cigar as part of the Try Something New mystery cigar offer and it offers very good value for money. The dark wrapper has an appealing appearance and, overall, construction was decent. It was, however, let down slightly by a lack of consistency, with a few soft spots noticeable along the length. The draw was very good straight after first light, which is worth noting as cigars of this size can often smoke on the tight side. The first third was pleasant and approachable, delivering earthy flavours alongside some leather and a light touch of pepper. As the cigar moved into the second third, it developed some enjoyable hazelnut notes. These flavours were not entirely consistent, coming and going rather than remaining firmly established, but were welcome when present. In the final third a slight bitterness did appear, though nothing overpowering, and the cigar remained perfectly smokeable right to the end. Overall, this is a solid value cigar and I’m glad I gave this Drew Estate cigar a go. It is not something I would regularly reach for, but it did exactly what the offer is meant to do and helped broaden my range of brands and blends.

This was what I received as my first mystery cigar and as a newcomer to cigars I was pleased to find it was a toro as well as a maduro, both which I had yet to experience. I can't tell you much about the tasting notes as my palette isn't that refined due to my lack of experience, but the draw was good and I enjoyed it immensely.

I got this one as a mystery cigar I did enjoyed it. Coffee and black pepper with chocolate hints quite earthy. Construction was 6.5 out of 10 needed few touch up with a lighter. Draw was to lose for me. And last half it got quite soft. It was a good smoke. Kind of a budget cigar but tbh I would rather pay a bit extra for something better. I would give it 7 out of 10 for the price but more like 6!

This was one of my try something new cigars received. Lovely cigar and very well crafted. Kept in my humidor for a few weeks before I decided to light it. Wow really enjoyed and will definitely be looking at buying some more
