1. Appearance & Construction Cigar looks decent wrapper was dark like chocolate had a slight rough feel to it but surface of the wrapper leave had no visible blemishes or bump. Cigar was tightly packed and had decent weight to it. Red label on the body of the dark cigar looked ridiculously cool. Bold, vibrant and in your face. 15 points. 2. Flavor & Aroma. From the outset this smelt strong and spicy. Flavor was a bit too strong for my liking. At no point did it balance out or mellow, it was consistently strong and spicy throughout all 3rds of the cigar. If your into strong cigars youd love this but its not for me. 10 points. 3. Smoking Characteristics. Cutting the cigar was pretty easy but for some reason it was difficult to light. Not sure if the cigar was too moist didnt feel like it was. Draw was tight, had to puff quite hard to get a decent smoke and this continued throughout the entire cigar. Ash was not white more greyish but did roll off easily. The smoke itself was cool and at no point did it feel warm. Burn was pretty even until the 2nd 3rd where it did start cannoing and had to be re touched with the lighter. 5 points. 4. Overall Experience. I dont think this is for me. A bit too strong, wasnt enjoyable due to the draw being real tight, not sure of if trying another one where the draw isnt so tight might change my perception of this. If your into really strong cigars youd enjoy this. Im glad I tried this and I did get a decent 20 mins out of it but may skip this one for the future. 15 points. Total = 45 points.

The Camacho Connect is a lovely smooth creamy stogie, little spice on the back head a perfect stogie for a morning/ light smoke. With this one I got chocolate, coffee, cherry and lots of spice. A pretty intense little stogie that simply was not to my taste. Too intense and little harsh for me. Some may love it. It did get more creamy second third but this was bit much couldnÂ’t finish. Need to try the yellow middle ground one.

Wonderful smoke from start to stub. Strong, but not overwhelmingly so. Nice flavours, no bitterness or throat bite. Bought as part of a mixed cigar sampler and I will definitely purchase more of these 20-25 minute marvels again.

Too harsh for me. Getting into cigars having been a pipe smoker for 8 years or so. Tried this as part of a sampler of the three Camachos (red, yellow, and orange). This one was too strong, too much of a kick, I felt the flavour wasnt allowed to get through the strength. I preferred the yellow but that was still a little too strong. The yellow was perfect from the first puff and I didnt want to put it down. Perhaps this one wasnt the best way to start on cigars, though Im not a total novice, I just prefer a milder smoke.

Initially harsh and bitter but soon settled down. The first third was like no other cigar I have smoked and had hints of Cuba about it. The second third was like a Montecristo Puritos at full tilt - quite strong. Final third was the usual spice at the end of most cigars. The draw was easy and the burn good. At this price point its an OK cigar but for me its just too brash and I probably wouldnt buy another one.
