Pronunciation may be tricky but one thing we do know is that Aberlour's 'Casg Annamh' release means 'Rare Cask' in Gaelic.
This 48% ABV whisky has been matured in three styles of cask; European Oak Sherry casks, American Oak ex-sherry casks and American Oak ex-bourbon casks.
These different barrels have all added in a great depth of flavour to this young, fresh whisky.
A continuation following the much loved Aberlour A'Bunadh, we're confident this is up to the task and can rival the A'Bunadh but take a look for yourself!
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and sweet with fruity notes of tangy orange, glazed cherries, raisins and a hint of ginger.
Palate: Sweet and fruity flavours of apple and cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches balanced with spicy notes of liquorice and cloves.
Finish: Long and rich. Fruity with a touch of dry spice.

Delicious fruity aromas on the nose. Apples, pear, honey, orange zest and sherry sweetness with a hint of spice. Balanced and full bodied, on the palate we can find more honey notes, orchard fruit and slight spice, blending in with dark fruits and toffee flavours. Long, fruity finish with malty oaky notes, fading into cocoa and spice.
