VEGAFINA

Launched in 1998, today Vegafina has become one of the bestselling handmade cigar brands int he world. It is available in over 50 markets worldwide including Spain where it is established as one of their leading premium brands.

Hand-rolled at the famous Tabacalera de Garcia factory, VegaFina cigars are made from hand-selected Ecuadorian wrapper, an Indonesian binder and a combination of Dominican, Colombian and Honduran long-filler tobaccos. This creates a distinctly smooth, aromatic blend with a light to medium body that is appreciated by cigar smokers across the world.

Vegas Finas translates to 'finest fields' and refers to quality of the plantations producing these Dominican rolled cigars presented in dressed boxes, small packs and tubes.

1998 54 TORO

The largest of the Linea 1998, the 54 is a modern cigar in every regard. The large ring gauge helps to provide a well-rounded smoke and easy draw over the hour or so it takes to enjoy. Great with a cup of black tea or, depending on the time of day, a glass of single malt Scotch whisky.

Tasting Notes

90 / 100

"A chocolate-colored toro with a lumpy head and some glue stains on the wrapper. Sweet notes of vanilla, orange peel and honeyed wood also carry hints of coffee bean and dried pine needles before the sweet finish. It draws and burns evenly..."

First time trying this one, was not overly enamoured by it for the price. This felt a lot stronger that light to medium, felt strong in flavour with a strong after taste at the end of the cigar. I always try mine with bourbon so I have a good range of cigars to taste against. The cigar burnt well untill the last 1/4, then seemed to burn in a bend and the cigar went out of shape. Other then this, I felt this might just be a bad one, but worth a try if looking for something different.
