H. Upmann Majestic Cigar - 1 Single

This cigar was plugged around the band area so I poked a hole from the head and it did sort out the draw though it was still a little tighter than perfect and did cause some tunnelling later on but nothing too bad.The first third was light with Nutty and cedar, second third a sweetness started to develop and I got hints of milk chocolate. Stayed smooth throughout. Nutty and tangy with earth coming in for the final third. Into the final third there was a floral earthy taste which must be that classic Upman 'olive' taste. Though if I hadn't have read about it I probably wouldn't have been able to put my finger on it. Got slightly spicy towards the end. Had it in my humidor for about 5 months but I think another 6 months would have helped bring out the more subtle chcolatly sweetness more. Burn was uneven but was correctable.

In conclusion this was a little rougher than I would expect but I am putting that down to youth. I will be buying more to put away for a few years as these have a lot of potential and are good value
