The H. Upmann felt like a really classic Cuban experience for me. Right from the start, there was that signature smoothness—cedar, light spice, and a creamy texture that made it very approachable. The draw was just right, offering a steady flow of aromatic smoke. Flavor-wise, it had a nice balance of wood, earth, and a touch of nuttiness. About halfway through, I noticed a floral note along with some sweetness that kept things interesting. The burn line wasn’t perfect, but it corrected itself without much effort. What stood out most was how refined it felt—everything was in harmony, with no harshness or bitterness. Compared to some of the stronger Nicaraguan smokes I’ve tried, this felt more subtle and elegant, though still full of character. By the final third, the flavors deepened, with more earth and spice, but it never lost its smoothness. This cigar gave me a real sense of Cuban tradition and why brands like H. Upmann are so respected. I’d definitely keep a few of these on hand for when I want something classic and dependable. Rating: 8/10

Enjoying this beautiful cigar right now whilst in my garden. A lovely creamy flavour with plenty of white smoke. A perfect burn with perfect white ash. Possibly one of the nicest cigars I’ve had in my couple of years of cigar smoking.

Theres something quite nice about relaxing in the evening and finding something to do which comes naturally and comfortably. You can walk through the door after a tough day at work in to the warmth of your living room, settle back in to your armchair and locate the switch on the lamp. Slowly your feet rise up and rest on the footstall as you adjust yourself further in to a position ready to see whats around you. It may be your chosen book of the week, a copy of the Spectator maybe... Or simply that days newspaper. The dog is running around and the children are loud and in this time, they are not annoying. Nothing is. The only thing between you and the current world is that reading material and what lays in your clean ashtray - already cut and sitting almost as if in a life of its own, patiently. You look at the band and possibly think of how happy J.F.K was to order his cigars of the same company. Out comes the lighter or Cedar matches (you decide... No hurry). First burn... Second burn... Light! The plumes of cool smoke surround your face. Some have suggested tastes of nutty, chocolatey, floral and woody... This could be you? Not me though... Not today. I taste a light and pleasant taste of finely hand rolled Cuban tobacco leaf... the sun, the sea... The freedom... The 45 minutes of harmony between my relationship with this cigar and the thankfulness of being able to absorb every bit of the pleasure.

Bloody hell this was vile, tasted like metal. Had these before and are lovely but this last one was sour and metalic. Had to throw it away
