Trinidad is named after the beautiful 16th Century city of La Santisima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, which is situated on Cuba's south coast.

Trinidad, as a Habano brand, dates back to 1969 but for many years, like Cohiba, it was made only for gifts to foreign diplomats. Not until 1998 was it released for general sale and then only in small quantities.

At the start there was only one size of Trinidad: Fundadores. In 2003 three more sizes, the Reyes, the Coloniales and the Robusto Extra, were added to the range. At the same time Trinidad's livery and its cigar band were updated to recognise the prestige that the brand commanded. Most recently, in 2009, the Trinidad Robusto T was introduced to complement the brand's range.

For several years Trinidad was made at El Laguito, the Cohiba factory, where its uniquely fragrant and aromatic, medium flavoured blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone was developed.

Tasting Notes

Great quick smoke full of character. Expresses flavours of cocoa and vanilla, even some nutmeg and cinnamon. Great little smoke! Great burn, great taste... a wonderful experience.

"...Pale and pigtailed, this cigar is more full-bodied than it looks. Initial notes of salt and dried flowers become sweet-and- spicy with a briny, rustic finish..."

Good half hour smoke, not on my list for best Cigar but well made, good draw and tightly packed. Cream didn't kick in until half way through, got plenty of pepper from it though. It may need leaving a while, maybe one day I will revisit them.

Had one for lunch with strong black coffee.quite the little flavour bomb.draw was first class construction was perfect.rich cocoa chocolate with buttery caramel to keep it from the bitter side of chocolate and a bit of pepper to boot.tons of smoke.around the midway point the flavours changed to tea and earthiness and remained until the end.i love this cigar.id say it was full flavour no doubt.the one I had was anyway.stunning smoke and for the little money they cost, why wouldn't you.get some they're seriously good.you won't regret it.

Anyone looking to start smoking Cuban cigars, this is the smoke for you. Pleasant and very tasty, this cigar allows you to enjoy aromas without being disturbed by harsh tobacco flavours, the cigar has excellent construction, a good draw with tastes of fruity hay similar to the Rafael Gonzalez Perlas but more refined, strength light to medium first and second thirds medium towards full in the final third, give them at least a couple of weeks rest in your humidor and you will have an excellent 45 minutes plus smoke.

What a beautiful little cigar. I'm still fairly new to the hobby but came across this upon the recommendation of reddit at /r/cigars August Cigar of the Month and I was not disappointed. A beautiful creamy smoke with easy draw and burn, my only complaint was that it ended too soon! A fantastic cigar and I've already placed an order for another, will definitely be exploring more of the Trinidad line.

To start with cosmetically a really nice looking cigar, well constructed. On lighting really good draw with a thick white smoke, definitely got the coffee and a little pepper for the first two thirds, last third a little spicy for my taste. All in all found this a good solid cuban experience teetering on the fuller flavour, appreciated the quality of this smoke but I prefer a milder sweeter smoke, however can appreciate that this is a quality cigar which would suit many cuban enthusiasts. So the only reason for the 'mark down' is from a personal taste.
