This cigar offers a rich blend of cedar, earth, coffee and intense spices. The first puff reveals flavors of leather and black coffee, mingled with some herbal notes, along with a background of sweet biscuits and fruits. As it progresses, earthy, woody and grassy flavors emerge. In the first third, coffee beans and chocolate can be tasted; in the middle section, each draw releases a honey-like sweetness and floral notes, with the intensity gradually easing, not as strong as the beginning. This makes the taste more subtle and complex. Different aromas and flavors intermingle, making it hard to resist. Milk, nuts, cedar, leather, and herbal flavors alternate, along with oats, vanilla, caramel, coffee and a generous amount of black pepper. In the final third, the cigar's strength returns, with earth, leather, black coffee, oak, honey flavors dominating, along with a hint of saltiness and a stronger spiciness. The entire smoking experience lasts 60 to 90 minutes.

Great cigar, enjoyable smoke. Lasted 1 hour 40 mins right to the butt. Started just above medium strength and moderate creaminess. Then developed to be more spicy and savoury about half way and medium to full profile. Typical Cuban taste. The cigar ash dropped off after a few cm and was uneven burning and needed relighting multiple times, however draw was good after a v cut. Enjoyable cigar whilst watching the Formula 1 on a Sunday. However its not worth the current 53 quid price tag, there are other better and cheaper Cubans.

Bought 2 after seeing excellant reviews on youtube from the Shahakians (Davidoff of London). WHAT an utter disappointment this was. Draw was tight, burn was uneven and kept going out. Got 1 left, maybe it will be better but after reading fellow smokers here they have had same issues so not holding my breath......

This cigar had been on my radar for some time now. After deciding to buy one, I saved it in my humidor for a special occasion. Today was my 10 year anniversary returning from Afghanistan, so I thought the occasion fit the cigar. However, after 20 mins of puffing on a very tight draw, minimal smoke output and a terrible experience, I decided to put it out and light up a budget daily smoke. Don’t waste your money - a decent £6 new world robusto is far better

Having seen the reviews of this, I purchased a couple of these on my last trip to Cgars St James. I had high hopes upon lighting, seemed great. After the initial burn and taste it was like sucking golf ball through a hose! From what I’d read, the Fundadores were supposed to be the creme de la creme! I was found wanting. Yes, 40rg you’d expect a resistant draw but I gave up after 3 relights. I’ll let it grow in the garden!
