Found this a little too punchy on the peat for my taste however, in an attempt to be objective: a good mix of all the classic Islay traits with the later notes lingering pleasantly in the mouth for a good length of time. A whisky to be taken slowly!
Would recommend and buy for friends who like Islay Whiskies.
For an Islay, mid peaty and decent mid heavy taste. It's not as tarry as caol ila, and on the sweet side. A good session whisky, one I'll happily drink all might
Wow what a find ! I picked this up in a little store in Chester having never heard of it before and being a high fan of Islay I thought, why not for about 35 quid give it whirl!
What I did not expect is this perfectly balanced subtly sensuously smoky whisky with a sweet spice and lingeringly lovely finish ! Now my go to Islay great deal
