Springbank 30 Year Old 2023 Release - 46% 70cl

The Springbank 30 Year Old Whisky 2023 Release was a very limited release from the Campbeltown distillery.

All the whisky from Springbank is produced fully in-house and this exceptional bottling is no exception.

The spirit was lightly peated and distilled two and a half times then matured in 80% ex-bourbon and 20% ex-sherry casks.

After maturing for three decades, without any additional colouring and with no chill filtering, the resulting collectable whisky is light and delicate with a mellow, creamy, buttery mouthfeel.

Nose: A fruity nose in notes of baked pineapple, peach and upside down cake. There are hints of serrano ham, honey and peat smoke from the outset. 

Palate: Light and delicate on the palate, the fruit notes continue and a waxy element is introduced.  There is a creamy, buttery mouthfeel reminiscent of brandy butter, and noted of parma violets.

Finish: Dry in the finish, there are notes of raisins and mixed peel to round out this dram.
