Ardbeg Drum 2019 Limited Edition - 70cl 46%

This year, Ardbeg are adding a dash of carnival colour to their customary Ardbeg Day ritual, in celebration of the Islay’s passion for festivity.

This limited-edition single malt from Ardbeg distillery  "Drum"  was released for Ardbeg Day, during Feis Ile 2019. 

In a first for the Distillery, Ardbeg have taken Ardbeg Scotch Whisky from ex Bourbon casks, rested it for a while in ex rum casks from the Americas.

Ardbeg Drum is non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV.

Ardbeg 25 Year Old - 46% 70cl

The newest, oldest whisky to join our core range. This supreme expression proves unequivocally that age cannot tame Ardbeg’s smoky power. But it can yield some of the most complex and majestic flavours ever to burst forth from Ardbeg Distillery.

Bottled from incredibly rare casks filled during some of the Distillery’s darkest days, this is Ardbeg at its most intricate, balanced and beguiling.

Majestic aromas of smoked cream and earthy bonfires are masterfully interwoven with layers of pine and fragrant candle wax.

Hot pepper rises on the palate, twisting around lemon sherbet sweetness, while hints of carbolic soap and tar flow into a long aftertaste characterised by delicate aniseed entwined with lingering cream and fudge.

Non chill-filtered with a strength of 46%.

Ardbeg Drum 2019 Limited Edition - 70cl 46%

Nose: In Drum, fragrant pine resin and woodsmoke dance alongside ripe banana and pineapple in a downright wondrous paradiddle of aromas, before parading into smoked apples and dry cocoa powder. Distant ginger, spiced dates and cinnamon sway into floating notes of lavender.
Palate: On the palate, waves of smoke, tar and creosote cascade into a dry peppery mouthfeel. Clove, liquorice and ginger strut towards rich notes of dark chocolate and smoked vanilla.
Finish: Intense smoke, roasted coffee liqueur and a treasure trove of sweet spices come together in one deliciously complex crescendo

Ardbeg 25 Year Old - 46% 70cl

Nose: A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, with Ardbeg’s classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mix with herbal and fruity (banana and tropical) notes, along with fragrant candle wax.
Palate: An extremely vibrant, hot peppery mouthfeel leads into a burst of sherbet lemon sweetness (candied apples, pears and orange), hints of carbolic soap and tar, more creamy toffee, aniseed and chilli pepper.
Finish: A long, mellow, lingering aftertaste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes. An elegant, soothing style of Ardbeg.
