Originally released for the travel retail market, Singleton of Dufftown 15 Year Old is a classic Speyside malt aged in a combination of European and American oak casks.

Over half of Scotland’s malt whisky distilleries are found on Speyside, and Dufftown distillery is at the centre of this fertile region, caught between mountains, rivers and sea.

A 15 year-old expression of Singleton of Dufftown, this is a wonderfully rich and rounded Speyside Malt. It’s smooth, sweet approachable style and spicy drying finish can be attributed to the aging process carried out in a mix of European and American oak casks.

Reassuringly well-balanced for a 15 year old, the perfect gift for those looking to explore Speyside single malt whiskies known for their rich and smooth flavour.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Slightly spicy and drying with aromas of toffee apples, honeycomb, linseed oil, and scented tea, which open up into ripe autumn fruits and red berry sharpness. Adding water reveals waxy notes, sweet chestnut, and a hint of charred wood.

Palate: Light, warming, and smooth. It starts sweet with malty and oaty base notes combined with a fresh fruit salad and floral top notes.

Finish: Drying and medium-length, featuring flavours of pears, digestive biscuits, and a delicate touch of aniseed spice.
