Not great in my opinion. Really tight drew and for the money there are 100s of cigars from the new world which would out smoke these by miles. Wouldnt recommend these to a friend but a great cigar to give to someone who has no clue about cigars, who will most likely never smoke one again and just wants to smoke a cuban. They are not complete rubbish and I know guys who love these (cuban snobs). Dont get me wrong, I love a good cuban, but these arent that imo!

I am sitting here in the garden under the patio heater with a glass of Johnnie Walker black label and one of these fantastic cigars, both of which I picked up for a steal duty free. I have tried plenty of Cuban cigars now and find myself returning to R and J all the time. Price and time allowing the Churchill and Wide Churchill are sublime. However I have found these no 2 to be the most consistent cigars that suit my taste. I’ve found with a lot of other brands that I’ve had more and more inconsistent ones, some absolutely unsmokeable. These start of very mild but develop just before half way leaving a fantastic spicy mouth. Think I am gonna stick with these from now on. Perfect 45-60 minutes of heaven.

The final cigar from my Jack Frost sampler, but not my first ever RyJ. Smoked this in two halves. The first half I smoked left me a bit bored and disappointed, I couldn’t really identify any flavours, was mostly just a smooth, creamy smoke. Not unpleasant by any means, just somewhat uneventful. However the second half, the following day, was a delight :S really rich, spicy and woody... I’ve smoked a dozen or so Cubans now and, so far, maybe it’s just me but, unless it’s an astonishing cigar, the spicy, earthy flavours never kick in until about halfway down the cigar. This one was typical of that along with the Jose L Piedra Cazadores cigar which also left me cold until the halfway mark, and then turned beautiful! I’ve never aged a cigar as I’m yet to purchase a humidor so perhaps with age flavours develop and present immediately on lighting up the cigar, I don’t know... This was a good cigar but I will sample other Cuban brands before returning to RyJ, I think they’re maybe a touch over-hyped. I find Montecristo’s richer in flavour and complexity.

Tighter than a midges foreskin. Stevie Wonder could have seen that this was unsmokeable. Getting fed up with Cubans most are no better than a good new world( padron , Fuentes, brick house...,.) Waste of £12.50 not happy
