ROMEO Y JULIETA

Named after William Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, the origins of Romeo y Julieta as a Havana date back to 1875.

The brand rose to international fame during the early years of the 20th Century under the direction of Don ‘Pepin’ Rodriguez, a talented promoter who was amongst the first to recognise the power of the cigar band. During his heyday no less than 20,000 different bands were used in the production of cigars.

Winston Churchill became a devotee of the brand and following his visit to Havana in 1946, his name has not only been commemorated on a band, but it has also served to describe the marque’s most famous size – Romeo y Julieta Churchills.

Romeo y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Havana.

Today Romeo y Julieta is as well known around the world as ever and offers one of the widest range of tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade – sizes of any Havana brand.

PETIT CORONA

Compare this Mareva with others and you will appreciate its richness of flavour. A powerful smoke and perhaps not for a beginner.

Tasting Notes

A wonderful smoke, a hint of sweetness on the lips and spice in the mouth. Light and cedary aroma with a pleasantly sweet vanilla flavour in the first half. Don't miss the opportunity to try a few.

My favourite every night smoke. This cigar is so smooth, not a bold full-bodied smoke, but on the lighter side. Will go well with most any drink from an ale to a scotch, but not quite a cabernet or port. A MUST try. written by Ashton NH

Well constructed. Good pre-light aroma. Easy, regular burn with plenty of smoke. Good tasty tobacco flavours. Im no good at describing flavours as nuts and coffe but this cigar certainly suits me! written by Michael

Even if you like big cigars, as I do, this is the right cigar to have with a "Sams Special" Bombay Sapphire Martini cocktail at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. -- the place where the late J. Edgar Hoover and his gunsel Clyde Tolson used to hang out. Its just a medium-bodied tasty smoke that goes well with gin and Washington gossip. written by gjk USA
